Compass
Compass is a real estate technology company with a powerful end-to-end platform that supports the entire buying and selling workflow. After a successful launch in 2012, Compass saw exponential growth that led to the company going public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021. To help prepare for the launch, I worked alongside a small team to create an entire campaign, including social assets, anthem videos, AR filters, OOH takeovers, and an online experience platform that housed everything for agents and employees to leverage.
Challenge
and Process
How do you bring a whole community together during a pandemic to celebrate such an important milestone as an IPO? With minimal resources and a one-month timeline from the initial project briefing to launch, we worked tirelessly to bring this experience to reality.
We started the process by sprinting on different design directions, building out a small set of compositions and riffing on legacy Compass elements, such as the dot grid pattern, the black and white color system, and the Compass needle. We iterated on the idea of scalability, played with 3D shapes, and conceptualized what Compass could look like in the future. The system of different grids worked well as a metaphor for exponential growth at the NYSE.
AR Filters
AR filters were created as a way to get agents and employees to engage virtually. These allowed for our nationwide network to celebrate and feel
as if they were in NY during IPO day.

Web Experience
A website experience was created and went live on IPO day. It was a solution
to the Covid-19 pandemic's restrictions and virtually brought the Compass network together. The site hosted a live stream of the IPO event, panelists,
and the launch of hero videos telling the story of Compass. All the assets, including templates, AR filters, Giphy stickers, virtual backgrounds, and
day-of photos, lived on the platform.
